DeKALB — NIU announced Monday that four additional students and no employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, and four students have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Monday, 35 students and five employees are currently COVID-19 positive.

The dashboard’s cumulative testing statistics show a total of 769 Huskies that have tested positive for COVID-19, and 729 have recovered.

As of Monday at 3 p.m., NIU is at a 3.1% quarantine and isolation use, the same as Friday.

Surveillance testing 

NIU administered 2,087 COVID-19 tests during the week of Feb. 15 for surveillance testing. The positivity rate was 0.4%, with eight recorded positive results, according to surveillance testing data.

Surveillance testing data is updated on the dashboard website every Monday, or on a Tuesday if a holiday falls on a Monday.
