DeKALB — The Egyptian Theatre is hosting an event called the “BOO’ze & Spirits Flashlight Tour” this fall. The theater will share scary stories and reveal secrets about ghosts that roam throughout the building.

According to the event page on the Egyptian Theatre website, BOO’ze & Spirits is a tour of the theater that takes place in the dark. According to mysteriousheartland.com, this theater is one of the most haunted in Illinois, making it the perfect setting for creepy storytelling.

The doors will open 30 minutes before the tour starts in the lobby. Participants must bring their own flashlight and minors (10 and older) must be accompanied by an adult. The tour requires its attendees to be able to use stairs and be actively on your feet.

BOO’ze & Spirits will take place on Sept. 30 and Oct. 14. Tickets are $30 for all ages. The roughly two-hour tour will start at 8 p.m. Click here to read the Egyptian Theatre’s COVID restrictions.

Concessions will also be available before and halfway through the tour, according to the Egyptian Theatre website. Accepted payments are cash, credit/debit and contactless pay.
