Beer of the Week

By DAN STONE | April 23, 2008

Grade: A-

The Beer: A Belgian-Style wheat beer (Witbier) made by Michigan Brewing Company.

The Good: Celis White has a light-bodied beer taste. The smooth, sweet and citrus flavor of the beer is complemented with a light aftertaste. The beer is very easy to drink.

The Bad: Celis White might be a little too sweet for some tastes. Also, the beer is not carried by many major liquor stores and may be difficult to find.

The Cost: $6.99 for a 6-pack â€" a bargain when compared to other Belgian-style wheats.

The Recommendation: If you like Blue Moon or other Witbiers, you will love Celis White. You may never go back to Blue Moon after giving this brew a chance.
