Aaron Langguth, SA Treasurer, said the finance committee has approved the budget for the next fiscal year. The senate will vote on the budget during the next meeting.

Robert Batey, senator from District 3, addressed the Town Hall meeting on Wednesday. Though there was a low turnout, Batey said senators were able to discuss issues to make the SA better.

The Ad Hoc committee was set up last week to look into a resolution to support consistent vegan options in the residence halls last week. They discovered the Residence Hall Association already had a committee working on the issue and the SA plans to work jointly with the RHA. During the residence hall meetings last week in Neptune, Stevenson and Grant, they took polls on the food issue.

The Student International Business Organization was given recognition. Mike Heitzler, a sophomore business management major, said SIBO's focus is to provide students in the college of business a place to focus on international business. The organization currently has 12 members and plans to find opportunities for study abroad programs as well as look for internships abroad.

Kiarri Andrews, senator from District 5, and Batey, were nominated for Student Association Speaker for the next academic year. The senators will be given a chance to speak at the next meeting then the senate will vote on the new speaker.

The senate also voted to cancel the meeting next week in order to resolve issues some senators had with holding a meeting on Easter Sunday. They plan to hold an extra meeting on April 30. The senate will meet in Room 100 of the Campus Life Building.
