We’re returning back to the classic format this week. Just because we’re shaking things up this semester doesn’t mean we can’t come back to tradition once in a while!

Aries (March 21 – April 20)

Unleash your aggression. Don’t misconstrue this to mean you should punch a wall or kick a dog. Find healthy sources of catharsis. You can be so full of pent-up emotions, which is valid, but you need to let them go or else you’ll explode, and it won’t be pretty. Try to unlearn that bottling up your feelings is the only way to live.

Taurus (April 21 – May 20)

Keep planning. With the first quarter moon having just occurred on Saturday, significant changes in your life are a strong possibility, as well as for the other fixed signs of the zodiac. Your approach must be subtle, however, so don’t go into newness guns a-blazing. Try a new method of organization to help you maintain focus.

Gemini (May 21 – June 21)

Don’t let expectations crush reality. Not everything is going to work out how you want it. This is especially prevalent in your creative projects. People will bring things to the table that you won’t expect, not just this week, but this semester. Be gracious and open-minded with your collaborators.

Cancer (June 22 – July 22)

Be transparent with others. For some, you are unknowable, an enigma. While this may be satisfying, it could lead to communication issues down the road. Don’t shy away from your truth just because you’re scared of letting it out. It’s OK to be afraid – but it’s admirable to face your fears. Rise to the challenge.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 23)

What can you learn from the past? By this, I don’t mean your own past, but rather from ancient Roman soldiers, medieval Chinese peasants, long-forgotten dynasties from Central America. The world is so full of past lives, and there is something you can learn (and grow from) by doing just a little bit of research on them.

Virgo (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23)

Are you going to be unrecognizable in the near future? It’s good that you’re growing, but remember to make time and hold space for your elders. They still have a lot to teach you, and they want to maintain a connection with you. The ones who truly love you will be desperate to keep you in their life.

Libra (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23)

Be consumed by the ebb and flow of life. Indulge in things. Let life surprise you; take a path to class you’ve never taken before. As an air sign, you’re already prone to dance through life, but how often do you delve deep into your experiences? Stop skating along the surface and start to feel things fully. See how it enriches you.

Scorpio (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22)

Try to cultivate a growth mindset. Defeat is so hard to shake off of your consciousness, and, indeed, it takes practice. Don’t feel ashamed of the times you’ve looked down on or pitied yourself. This week, take a shower and envision that you are sloughing off your previous “sins” with every scrub.

Sagittarius (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21)

Keep your head on straight. Have you been too lax with yourself? Taking care of yourself actually takes a fair amount of discipline, which can be hard for happy-go-lucky fire signs like you to achieve. Do something for your own betterment this week, and if you have the means, invest in a good moisturizer.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20)

Be direct. This is something you’re likely used to as an earth sign, but if not, now is your chance to try it out. This week, if somebody asks you what you want, lay out for them exactly what you want. It can be empowering, especially if you’re also kind about it. Savor the feeling of being in control.

Aquarius (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19)

You’ve got big things in the works. As one of the fixed signs affected by the first quarter moon, you may be feeling the pressure to change or make a grand shift in your behavior or habits. If you feel the need to be different in some area, then try it out – you can always return back to the way you were.

Pisces (Feb. 20 – March 20)

Stay tender. Venus has just moved into your sign on Jan. 26 and will stay there until Feb. 20. You are allowed to be sappy and you should feel free to express it when you feel it. In fact, it may inspire others to do the same. Your tenderness is not a weakness; vulnerability is a sign of great inner fortitude.
