DeKALB – Senior guard Jayden Marable has earned her first Huskie of the Week honor after scoring 42 points over a three-game win streak for women’s basketball.

The Bolingbrook native shot 15-for-38 from the field and racked up 20 assists across the three contests. Marable also pulled down 19 rebounds and 6 steals.

Marable is tied for the fifth-most points scored in the MAC with 82 and is second in assists with 34.

After winning the home opener and beating Radford University and Indiana State University in the November Clasico, Marable and the Huskies have a chance to go above .500 for the first time this season with a win over the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

NIU will travel to Madison, Wisconsin, to face the Badgers at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The game will be streamed on B1G+, and live stats will be available at SIDEARM Stats.

Next week’s Huskie of the Week will be announced on Dec. 4.
