DeKALB – Senior guard Jayden Marable earned her second Huskie of the Week honor and the third for women’s basketball in the 2023-24 season.

Marable shot 10-for-17 from the field and scored a career-high 26 points in the Huskies’ (11-11, 4-6 MAC) win over the Georgia Southern University Eagles (13-12, 3-9 SBC) Saturday. Marable also recorded 10 rebounds and 6 assists.

In NIU’s upset win over Ball State University (21-3, 10-1 MAC), the 5-foot-6-inch guard recorded 8 points, 6 rebounds and a block.

Marable’s 11.9 points per game lead the team. Her 4.3 assists per game rank fifth in the MAC.

The Huskies’ next game will be against the Western Michigan University Broncos (9-12, 4-6 MAC) at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Convocation Center. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and live stats will be available at SIDEARM Stats.

Next week’s Huskie of the Week will be announced on Feb. 19.
