“Mary Stuart” is an intense and dramatic play presenting the antagonism between Mary Queen of Scots and Queen Elizabeth I of England. Although it features some historic occurrences and relations, the story is a dramatized account of the struggle of ideologies between the historical figures.
The five-act play covers the conversations and turbulent interpersonal relations between the two leading women and other historical figures, forming an intense dramatic production that has landed “Mary Stuart” as a timeless piece of historical theater.
Presented at the Stevens Building’s Black Box Theatre, 200 University Circle, tickets for the play are free for NIU students, $12 for non-NIU students, $18 for seniors and staff and $20 for adults. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time online.
