In honor of the new semester starting, you may be excited about seeing old friends, being involved in clubs, your new classes or even graduation.
Some students across campus shared what they are most looking forward to this semester.
What are you most looking forward to this semester?
Christina Fiedler, a junior disability and rehabilitation services major, is looking forward to applying to graduate school.
Q: “What are you most looking forward to this semester and why?”
A: “I’m most looking forward to applying to grad school because I’m excited about my future.”
Q: “What do you want to do after grad school?”
A: “I want to become an occupational therapist and I think I want to work with kids, either out of school or at a clinic.”
Jaylah Moore, a junior finance major, is looking forward to getting involved on campus.
Q: “What are you most looking forward to this semester and why?”
A: “I’m most looking forward to meeting new people and joining more organizations on campus.”
Q: “Do you have any organizations in mind that you’re thinking of joining?”
A: “Nothing specific, I’m just looking to learn more about some on campus that I haven’t heard of and just looking to meet new people as well.”
Corinne Block, a sophomore art education major, is looking forward to improving her art skills.
Q: “What are you most looking forward to this semester and why?”
A: “I’m an art education major, so I’m most looking forward to improving my art skills, become a better teacher to learn for future students. Also meeting my friends again and new friends, stuff like that.”
Q: “What grade do you plan on teaching?”
A: “I would like to teach high school, but my whole family thinks I should probably do middle school, so it may change when I do all of my clinicals. I’m still kind of deciding.”
Amelia Arndt, a first-year music education major, is excited for all of the performances in the School of Music this semester.
Q: “What are you most looking forward to this semester and why?”
A: “I’m super excited for all the performances we have coming up.”
Q: “When’s your first performance?”
A: “Our first one is next Friday at 7 p.m.”
