Men’s tennis drops close battle with Buffalo

By Patrick Smith

Men’s tennis (15-8, 3-3 MAC) took a loss to the University at Buffalo (10-7, 3-3 MAC) Sunday by a score of 5-2, giving the Huskies a two-game losing streak.

“Well, I feel like we lost because we can’t get out of our funk in doubles matches,” said head coach Patrick Smith. “In the beginning of the year we played some really good doubles, but ever since the Western Michigan match we can’t seem to get back on track, which made our matches a lot tougher.”

The Huskies only have one game remaining in the regular season, which will come against Binghamton University. The MAC Tournament is set to start on April 29.

“Well we don’t have a choice but to bounce back against Binghamton,” Fisher said. “If we get in the tournament we believe that we can win just as well as the other teams. This league is filled with parity.”

Matches against Binghamton will start at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Binghamton, N.Y.
