University employees to hold program prioritization panel

By Northern Star staff

An external panel of individuals who have undergone program prioritization at other universities will hold a panel discussion and question and answer session next week.

All campus and community members are invited to attend the panel, which will be held 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 14 in the Carl Sandburg Auditorium, according to an NIU news release. Panelists will discuss best practices for task force members regarding rubrics and scoring, and will also describe outcomes of prioritization, according to NIU.

The panelists will then meet with academic program and administrative program authors and approvers the next day. Primary authors, secondary authors, support staff, and approvers for program narratives are all urged to attend.
