“It was a tough loss,” said head coach Patrick Fisher. “It came down to the last match, and we just came up short. I’m proud of the team. We didn’t capitalize on some opportunities, but we fought hard and lost a great game.”

The Huskies earned a split in Indiana during the weekend by beating the Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons, 5-2, Sunday in Fort Wayne, Ind.

The Huskies improved to to 5-5 in true road games after the Sunday victory.

“The team showed great character on Sunday,” Fisher said. “After losing a tough game on Saturday we came out the next day and beat a good IPFW team.”

The Huskies’ next game will be against Detroit 6 p.m. Thursday in Detroit.
