The women’s tennis double team of senior Nelle Youel and junior Cristina Alvarez was named MAC Women’s Tennis Doubles Team of the Week, the conference announced today.

Youel and Alvarez, playing as the team’s No. 1 doubles squad, went 3-0 over the weekend, winning 4-3, 6-2 and 7-5.

The team of Youel and Alvarez is 8-0 this season, and NIU has taken the doubles point in all eight of its matches.
