Women’s golf captured the 2015 MAC Match Play title Tuesday, going 3-0 over the two-day event at Lakewood Ranch Country Club in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.

The No. 4 seed Huskies beat the No. 2 Western Michigan Broncos, 3.5 & 1.5, in the semifinals and then knocked off the No. 1 seed Eastern Michigan Eagles, 3 & 2 in the championship match. Both Tuesday rounds were nine holes due to inclement weather Monday forcing the second round to be pushed to Tuesday.

The Huskies opened the tournament Monday with a 4-and-1 win over the No. 5 Ohio Bobcats.
