NIU netters head to Ohio

Two more difficult opponents, Ohio State University and Bowling Green State University, lay ahead for the NIU men’s tennis team this weekend.

The Buckeyes mark the fifth Big Ten team that the Huskies have done battle with thus far. Against the previous four, the Huskies have not fared too well. However, NIU continues to improve its play and will go into this meet with confidence.

“This should be a really good match. We’re playing much better now. We just need to all go in there and think we can win,” said No. 2 seed Dustin Dobrin.

On Sunday, the team travels to Bowling Green State University and this meet should provide plenty of excitement. This marks the third consecutive year the two schools have met.

Dobrin thinks this match should be one that will go down to the wire.

“We’ve developed a good rivalry with them over the past two years,” Dobrin said.
