Star announces new managing positions

The Northern Star has announced the new managing positions for the spring 1992 semester.

Returning Editor-in-Chief Mark McGowan said he feels it should be a good semester. “Everyone is new to their managing jobs, but they have been on the paper for awhile,” McGowan said. “Some have also been managers before.”

Marc Alberts, the fall 1991 editorial editor, said he is happy to leave the office in the hands of Michael McCulloh.

“Mike is a dedicated, hard-working person and will bring insight and enthusiasm to the job,” Alberts said.

The other managing positions are;

‘Sabryna Cornish—managing editor

‘Jean Dobrzynski—campus editor

‘Lisa Ferro—city editor

‘Eric Krol—news editor

‘Dave Fornell _photo editor

‘Stacy Christiansen—copy editor

‘Steve Dennis—sports editor

‘Wes Sweitek—assistant sports editor

‘Amy Julian—features editor

‘Dave Statis—advertising manager

‘Amy Petersen—payroll manager

‘Donna Sullivan—billing manager

‘Carolyn Kezis—classified manager

‘Jeanne Hickey—production manager

‘Jennifer Smith—advertising production manager

‘Sean Shipley—night news editor

‘Sean McClennan—wire editor

‘Larry Drolet—circulation manager

The editor-in-chief was chosen by the Star’s management board. The board consists of nine student managers at the newspaper. McGowan was selected after an open interview process.

All the other managers were chosen by McGowan.
