We concerned NIU students would like to address the recent surge of “saltwater” pop machine crimes that have appeared in Police Beat.

Two weeks ago, one of the Police Beat reports vividly described (to all who read the Star) how to commit a criminal offense. Unexpectedly, on Monday (Oct. 14) two similar reports appeared in Police Beat. Gee—we wonder why?
