DeKALB – The MAC announced Friday three Huskie women’s golfers to All-MAC teams. Junior Jasmine Ly earned a spot on the All-MAC First Team for a second year in a row, while graduate Sydney Naro and junior Emily Romancew received Second Team honors for the first time.

Ly was the Huskies’ top golfer all season, finishing in the top five of six of the 11 tournaments she competed in this spring. She capped off her First Team season with a 10th place finish at the MAC Championship where she shot a 74, 77, 75 for a total score of 226.

Ly’s top finish of the year was a second place showing at the Falcon Florida Classic on Feb. 6 to 7. She shot round scores of 70, 69 and 71 for a career best score of 210.

Naro’s fifth place finish at the Charlotte Invitational in the fall and victory at the Falcon Florida Classic this spring helped her snag her Second Team honor. She shot 10 under par at the Falcon Florida Invitational for a total score of 206. Naro also finished in the top 10 at the Johnie Imes Invitational last fall.

Romancew joins Naro on the Second Team thanks to a round average of 75.39, which was an almost three stroke improvement from last season’s average of 78.35. Romancew’s top finish this season came at the Atlantic Invitational, where she finished 10th and shot round scores of 68, 69, 74 for a total score of 211.

NIU women’s golf wrapped up its season last weekend, finishing second at the MAC Championship in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
