Musical “Hello Dolly” opens Nov. 8 at NIU

Hello Dolly, the musical version of Thornton Wilder’s play The Matchmaker, is coming to DeKalb’s Egyptian Theater for four days only.

The performance opens on November 8 and runs through November 11, with a matinee on the 11th.

Gary Flannery is guest directing this production of Hello Dolly. Flannery has a triumphant 20 year career as a Broadway and Hollywood dancer and choreographer.

Hello Dolly is the story of Dolly Levi, a matchmaker extraordinaire, who says she can match people up no matter what. The musical features many famous songs that music lovers are sure to recognize including the title song Hello Dolly.

The box office opened November 1 and is open from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The box office will also be open November 6 and 7 from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. and November 8-11 from 10 a.m. through curtain time. The box office phone number is 753-1609.
