Chance to win school money

By Alyce Malchiodi

A General Motors car show will display nine cars in the King Memorial Commons Tuesday and Wednesday and offer students the chance to win a $500 scholarship.

The cars will range from Cadillacs to Jimmys and will be accompanied by packets of information on the cars, key chains and scholarships. The scholarships are for education expenses.

The scholarships will be raffled off through a random drawing. Students can submit their names, free of charge, on Tuesday and Wednesday with the chance of winning $500. The drawing will be 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

GM sponsors many activities through the Office of Campus Recreation, including the Spirit Award, where winners are given GM stock for having participated in volunteer work. Students are encouraged to attend the car show and participate in the raffle because it is a quick and easy way to win a scholarship.
