A 19-year-old man was injured in a collision between a semi-truck and a car Tuesday at about 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of Annie Glidden Road and Illinios Route 63.

The car, driven by Robert Kretzschmar of McHenry was northbound on Glidden Road when he stopped at the stop sign, then pulled out in front of the truck, an employee from the DeKalb County Sherriff’s Office said. The truck, which was westbound on Rt. 64, was driven by Terry Fogle, 34, of Rockton.

It took the Sycamore Fire Department about an hour to cut Kretzschmar out of his car. Kretzschmar was taken by helicopter to Saint Anthony’s Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition Tuesday night, a hospital employee said. Fogle was taken to Sycamore Hospital, treated and released.
