Almost all college students have problems not knowing what to do in certain tightly spaced, dorm room situations. I’ve provided a short list of dorm hacks all students living on campus can appreciate!

Many of us have those nights of cramming homework where your roommate is fast asleep. Next thing you know is you’re in a sticky situation where you can’t see without any illumination. That’s where a clip-on light comes in handy. There are Lumino Lites that you can clip onto your bed or even your binder to see at night!

Every college student wants to hang things on their walls, but they can’t without fear of a looming write-up by the residence hall staff. That’s where the famous Command Strips come into play. Command strips are adhesive tools to hang pictures of family and motivational quotes on the walls, without fear of breaking drywall.

College students all know that uncomfortable mattress we are stuck with at school and can’t get a new one. Well, most colleges allow us to bring a Memory Topper, which is just like a mattress pad. You can purchase them at many online stores including Amazon.

What sucks most is that we have limited space and not a lot of storage. What you can do is buy Drawer Rolling Storage! They are easily removable and durable. You won’t have to deal with carrying a full wooden dresser in and out when you can just buy the plastic ones.

Lastly, there are those communal bathrooms that everyone hates. Who knows what happens in those showers? I’ve seen enough hair in the drain to knit my own sweater!

If that’s not enough reason to buy Non-Slip Sandals Slippers for the safety of your feet, maybe think about the infections you are at risk of contracting. Bite the bullet and protect your feet. Remember, you don’t need to waste a bunch of money on actual shower shoes when you can buy cheap rubber flip flops from the dollar store.

I found all of these really helpful. While at school I had a plastic storage bin which made things a lot easier while moving in and out. What I really appreciated was the shower shoes, those floors were at times really gross, luckily I didn’t have to walk on them barefoot. The mattresses at school are really uncomfortable, that’s why I got a mattress pad so I was actually able to sleep at night. The clip-on light was especially helpful when I would sleep over at a friends dorm and needed to study while they slept.
