‘Avengers’ film hits expectations

“Avengers: Infinity War” stuns and amazes audiences with an intense action-filled plot presenting a cultivating climax to the Avengers franchise.

The most recent installment and third film of the Avengers series brings together every aspect of the Marvel Universe in this pinnacle battle to save not only Earth, but the entire universe.

Over the years, the mighty villain Thanos, played by Josh Brolin, has caused chaos and destruction across the universe. His heinous acts are driven by his desire to find all six infinity stones, giving him the power to wipe out half the universe with one snap of his fingers.

Brolin’s portrayal of Thanos presents an extremely devilish look into his acting. He gives a brooding, dark quality to Thanos, providing more depth than in previous Marvel films.

Fate brings the Avengers together along with the Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, Vision, Wanda Maximoff, Black Panther, the Wakanda tribe and Doctor Strange to try and take down Thanos before he collects all of the infinity stones.

The amount of heroes is well-balanced throughout the film, and the interpersonal relationships between characters shines through as heroes from different films come together for a common cause. The actors have great chemistry, which shows on screen.

While most of the characters find their place among the team, Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland, seems to lag behind the rest of the group. He is the youngest of the heroes, other than teenage Groot, and his adolescence shows. The writing makes his character seem weaker and less intelligent than the other Avengers.

In an epic battle, the heroes come together to fight Thanos and his army of killer underlings. The battle takes the strength and power of each hero as they pull together as an incredible force to match one of the universe’s most terrifying threats.

The acting in the film is out of this world. From Chris Evans, who plays Captain America, to Chris Pratt, who plays Star-Lord, the cast is full of talented heros.

Robert Downey Jr., who plays Iron Man, portrays a powerful and arrogant character and embodies the genius behind Tony Stark. He acts as a leader, able to take charge and command his team, but also knows how to let others take the wheel and be a true team player when needed.

Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, is as mighty and heroic as ever. His character adds remarkable strength and a selflessness to the cause, giving him a true hero quality. Hemsworth portrays Thor’s wounded soul in a vengeful way, making his acting more powerful than in previous Thor films.

The film also focuses on female empowerment through characters like Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson, and Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen. Both women are strong fighters with unbreakable spirits seen not just in this film, but throughout the franchise. The women handle much of the fighting and show they can pull as much weight as their male counterparts.
