Carey believes the rules are subject to change and conversations are still to be had. Overall, he applauds the MAC athletes who made this possible and it is important that everyone is working together on this issue and sharing common interests.

“I think that some things are going to come out as far as more discussions to be had. Everyone is together on the fact that time management for a student athlete is one of the trickiest things that we have to navigate. The student athletes absolutely have to have a voice and I think that’s important. I think the conference and everyone is working in the right direction.”
