Party Apple Peel performs at the Sethtastic Battle of the Bands on Friday at The House Cafe. The Sethtastic Battle of the Bands promoted suicide awareness and prevention. Lead singer Jade Steffen, having struggled with depression for most of his life, said the issue of suicide is not talked about enough and that music is his way of sharing happiness and light with others.

Sethtastic Battle of the Bands

Joey Oxnevad performs at the Sethtastic Battle of the Bands on Friday at The House Cafe, 263 E. Lincoln Highway. Oxnevad said this event was important to him because performing is his way of doing what makes him happy and sharing it with others, especially because he knew Seth Bartosik, whom the event was named after. Seth Bartosik, a graduate of DeKalb High School, died on June 26, 2014.
