Odin, a DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office K9, has received a bullet and stab resistant vest from a donation provided by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. and Armor Express.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is a non-profit organization from East Taunton, Mass., which provides bullet and stab protective vests to dogs of law enforcement. Armor Express is a manufacturer which awards one free vest for every 15 vests purchased by the charity, according to a DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Deputy Jason Johnson and Odin have been working together since May 2014. The team is trained in detecting narcotic odor, conducting field searches, building searches and controlling crowds, among other things, according to the news release.
