Visitors from as far as Wisconsin and Minnesota are expected to trek to NIU for the 10th annual Kite Fest.

Kite Fest provides open space for people to build and fly kites, eat and participate in other activities. This year’s festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 13 in a field off of Lucinda Avenue and Kishwaukee Drive, next to Anderson Hall.

Victor E. Huskie, along with several vendors, including Sweet Dream Desserts, 1969 Dekalb Ave., will be in attendance.

“We are excited to be celebrating our 10th annual DeKalb Kite Fest thanks to the generosity of our sponsors,” said Kite Fest Co-Chair Debbie Armstrong. “The kites are more than 100 feet in length, are all shapes and sizes and will fill the skies over DeKalb.”
