By Northern Star staff

The deadline to apply for the Broadband Innovation Grant offered by the Division of Information Technology is April 15.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to apply. The grant may be up to $30,000 per year for three years. The grant is offered to a member of the community who can develop an application “to support the development of technology applications that benefit community anchor institutions over connected high speed broadband,” according to its website, niu.edu/niunet/grants/.

One award available under the grant program, the planning/early stage award, will revolve around the beginning process of development. The second award, for implementation/proof of concept, will be awarded to someone who has a project further along in development.
