A DeKalb man was arrested Tuesday for possession of heroin and prescription drugs after an almost three-month investigation by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, according to a news release.

Christopher B. Johnson, 32, of Hammond, Ind., was charged with unlawful possession of heroin 1-15 grams, hydrocodone and alprazolam with intent to deliver, according to the release.

Police said they found multiple bags of heroin and prescription medication while searching Johnson’s vehicle Oct. 17 in front of the DeKalb County courthouse. Police arrested Johnson Tuesday after obtaining a warrant.
