The Convocation Center will host the first annual DeKalb Beer Festival 6-10 p.m. Oct. 10.

Patrons will be able to sample 20 3-ounce beers from a selection of more than 60 local and international beers. An additional 10 beer tickets can be purchased for $10. General admission tickets are $35; advanced student tickets, available until Oct. 5, are $30 and VIP tickets are $65. Tickets go on sale Friday at the Convocation Center box office or ticketmaster.com.

“We’re really excited to do the first ever DeKalb Beer Festival especially since it’s Homecoming week and we’ll be able to kick off the weekend,” said Kurt Olerud, DeKalb Beer Festival promoter.
