Police Reports: Oct. 24-27

Thursday

• At 1:13 a.m. Sept. 29, an officer went to Neptune North for a report of unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor and battery. On Thursday, this case was closed at the request of the complainant.

• At 5:16 p.m. Oct. 20, an officer in the NIU Police Department took a report of criminal damage. On Thursday, this case was closed.

• At 10:08 a.m., officers patrolling Douglas Hall met with a person in regard to pot. Philemon P. Bromby, 18, of Chicago, was arrested for delivery of cannabis on school grounds and possession of cannabis.

• At 10:16 a.m., officers patrolling Douglas Hall met with a person who was younger than 21 and in possession of alcohol. The person was given a verbal warning.

• At 2:05 p.m., an officer in the NIU Police Department took a report of theft. It was determined that the matter was reported to another officer as lost property and it was returned to the complainant. This case was determined unfounded.

• At 2:38 p.m., an officer patrolling Gilbert Hall met with a person for a report of disorderly conduct. This case is open.

• At 4:28 p.m., an officer patrolling 900 Crane Drive met with a person who had an active arrest warrant for fraud. Ridley C. Kadon, 18, of Chicago, was arrested.

• At 6:49 p.m., officers met with a person in the NIU Police Department. The person was in possession of pot and was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for possession of cannabis.

• At 6:56 p.m., an officer in the NIU Police Department took a report of fraud. This case is open.

• At 7:05 p.m., a community adviser at New Hall’s dining center met with a person who had damaged university property. The incident was reported to university officials.

• At 8:30 p.m., an officer went to the Evans Field House for a report of theft. This case is open.

• At 9:30 p.m., an officer went to Neptune East for a report of pot. A person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for possession of cannabis.

• At 11:27 p.m., an officer went to Neptune East for a report of pot. Four people were referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for possession of cannabis.

Friday

• At 12:02 a.m., an officer went to New Hall West for a wellbeing check. The officer met with a person who was younger than 21 and intoxicated. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

• At 12:57 a.m., an officer patrolling Stevenson Towers North met with a person who was younger than 21 and consuming alcohol. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

• At 2:41 a.m., an officer patrolling Grant Towers North met with a person who was younger than 21 and intoxicated. Anna G. Cira, 18, of Cary, was arrested for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

• At 2 p.m., an officer went to Neptune Central for a report of theft. This case is open.

• At 10:45 p.m., an officer went to Neptune West for a report of pot. A person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for possession of cannabis.

Saturday

• At 2:47 a.m., an officer patrolling Stevenson Towers North met with a person who was younger than 21 and intoxicated. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

• At 12:58 p.m., an officer patrolling the east tailgate area of Huskie Stadium met with a person who was younger than 21 and consuming alcohol. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

• At 1:53 p.m., an officer met with a person who was trespassing at Huskie stadium. Ryan M. Walker, 23, of Steger, was arrested for criminal trespass to state-supported land.

• At 2:13 p.m., an officer patrolling Stadium Drive met with a person who was in possession of alcohol. The person provided false information to the officer. Gerald A. Barone, 19, of Elgin, was arrested for obstructing identification and given a verbal warning for unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor.

•At 3:09 p.m., an officer patrolling the east tailgate area of Huskie Stadium met with a person in regard to pot. Kevin Smith, of Steward, was arrested for possession of cannabis and obstructing a peace officer.

• At 3:21 p.m., an officer patrolling Huskie Stadium met with a person who was younger than 21 and in possession of alcohol. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

• At 3:40 p.m., an officer went to Lot O for a report of burglary from motor vehicle and criminal damage. This case is open.

• At 5 p.m., an officer patrolling Huskie Stadium met with a person who was younger than 21 and consuming alcohol. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Sunday

• At 12:07 a.m., an officer patrolling Stevenson Towers South met with a person who was younger than 21 and intoxicated. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

• At 11:32 p.m., an officer went to Stevenson Towers South for a report of pot. This case is closed.
