Police Reports: Oct. 20-21

Sunday

• At 5:17 a.m., an officer stopped a car at 805 W. Lincoln Highway. A person in the car was younger than 21 and had consumed alcohol. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

• At 5:16 p.m., an officer in the NIU Police Department took a report of criminal damage. This case is open.

• At 11:18 p.m., an officer stopped a car at 1400 N. Annie Glidden Road. The officer discovered pot in the car. Qawmane C. Wilson, 23, of Chicago, was arrested for possession of cannabis. A person in the car provided the officer with false information and had an active warrant for failure to appear in court for a traffic offense. Kenyata D. Fair, 23, of Chicago, was arrested for the warrant and obstructing identification.

Monday

• At 1:11 a.m., an officer stopped a car in Lot K. The driver of the car was in possession of pot and had an active arrest warrant for a probation violation. Brandon Spann, 18, of Aurora, was given a verbal warning for possession of cannabis and arrested for the warrant.

• At 7:35 p.m., an officer went to Douglas Hall for a report of harassment. The officer determined the incident to be disorderly conduct and a person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for disorderly conduct.
