Campus police reports: Oct. 11-13

Friday

• At 12:19 a.m., an officer on patrol met with a person who was in possession of pot at 930 N. Annie Glidden Road. The person was given a verbal warning for possession of cannabis.

• At 12:23 a.m., an officer patrolling the 700 block of North Annie Glidden Road approached a group of people. One of the people was banned from the property and provided false information to the officer. Omarr I. Fahim, 23, of Chicago, was arrested for criminal trespass to real property and obstructing identification.

• At 2:23 a.m., an officer patrolling the 1000 block of West Hillcrest encountered a person who was younger than 21 and in possession of alcohol. The person was given a verbal warning for unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor.

• At 2:23 a.m., an officer went to the 900 block of Lucinda Avenue for a report of an intoxicated person. Two people were given verbal warnings for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor and one person was given a verbal warning for unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor.

• At 2:36 a.m., an officer patrolling the 900 block of Greenbrier Road met with a person who was younger than 21 and in possession of alcohol. The person was given a verbal warning for unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor.

• At 3:14 p.m., an officer went to Northern View Apartments for a report of pot. The officer determined the report to be unfounded.

• At 4:05 p.m., an officer went to Grant Towers North for a report of pot. This case is closed.

• At 10:37 p.m., an officer patrolling Grant Towers saw a person use an emergency callbox when no emergency existed. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for disorderly conduct.

Saturday

• At 1:25 a.m., officers went to Douglas Hall for a report of pot. Jasmine M. Maymi, 18, of Chicago, was arrested for unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver.

• At 10:32 a.m., an officer met with two people near Huskie Stadium. The people were younger than 21 and in possession of alcohol. Both people were referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor and illegal transportation of alcohol.

• At 1:39 p.m., an officer patrolling the east tailgate area of Huskie Stadium met with a person who was younger than 21 and drinking alcohol. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

• At 2:06 p.m., officers were made aware of threatening text messages. Officers investigated and arrested Jason D. Zerfahs, 23, of Elk Grove Village, for disorderly conduct.

• At 2:06 p.m., an officer patrolling the east tailgate area of Huskie Stadium met with a person who was younger than 21 and drinking alcohol. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

• At 3:34 p.m., a person approached an officer wishing to file a police report in regard to a fight at Huskie Stadium. This case is closed at the request of the complainant.

• At 3:46 p.m., an officer patrolling the east tailgate area of Huskie Stadium met with a person who was younger than 21 and under the influence of alcohol. Derek A. Mars, 18, of Bloomington, was arrested for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

• At 4:28 p.m., an officer patrolling the east stands area at Huskie Stadium met with a person who was younger than 21 and under the influence of alcohol. The person was given a verbal warning for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

• At 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a fight at Huskie Stadium. Four people were referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for battery.

• At 5:05 p.m., officers went to Huskie Stadium in regard to a banned person. Heather R. Gregory, 25, of Elgin, was arrested for criminal trespass to state-supported land.

• At 6:10 p.m., an officer took a report of theft that occurred at Huskie Stadium. This case is open.

• At 8:19 p.m., an officer went to New Hall East for a report of battery. This case is open.

• At 10:03 p.m., a person advised housing officials of a report of unlawful possession of a controlled substance at Neptune East. This case is open.

• At 1:35 p.m., a person advised housing officials of a report of disorderly conduct at Grant Towers North. This case is open.

Sunday

• At 8:19 p.m., an officer went to New Hall East for a report of battery. A person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for battery.

• At 12:07 a.m., an officer went to Grant Towers North for a report of pot. A person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

• At 12:24 a.m., an officer went to Northern View apartments for a report of pot. This case was closed due to a lack of leads.

• At 12:42 a.m., officers went to Grant Towers North for a report of a fight. Two people were referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. The report of battery was determined to be unfounded.

• At 3:13 a.m., officers went to Douglas Hall for a report of a fight. Officers determined the report to be unfounded.

• At 3:32 a.m., an officer went to Lot W for a report of theft from a motor vehicle. This case is open.

• At 8:33 a.m., an officer went to the parking deck in regard to a report of criminal damage/trespass to a motor vehicle. This case is open.

• At 10:32 a.m., an officer in the NIU Police Department took a report of criminal defacement that occurred in the parking deck. This case is open.

• At 11:49 a.m., an officer in the NIU Police Department took a report of criminal defacement that occurred in the parking deck. This case is open.

• At 1:55 p.m., an officer in the NIU Police Department took a report of criminal damage to property that occurred in the parking deck. This case is open.

• At 3:38 p.m., an officer went to Stevenson Towers North for a report of theft/credit card fraud. This case is open.

• At 9:52 p.m., officers went to Stevenson Towers North for a report of disorderly conduct. Ryan D. Gustafson, 19, of Mount Prospect, was arrested for disorderly conduct.

• At 2:20 a.m., a community adviser at New Hall east met with people who were younger than 21 and in possession of alcohol. The people were referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor.

• At 12:40 a.m., a person advised housing officials of a report of criminal trespass at Douglas Hall. This case is open.
