I recently realized I–a broke college student–needed some gift ideas for my graduating friends.

Pinterest.com is one of my favorite distractions from homework. While procrastinating, I repinned something I realized would be a great gift idea.

Gift for Him

I found a cool idea which involved placing song lyrics onto a canvas. The letters can be painted different patterns and colors. I thought this gift would be perfect for anyone graduating, but especially for my guy friends who like music.

What you need:

• Canvas

• Sticker letters

• Paint

• Great song lyrics

• Paint brush

You can get these products at Michaels, Hobby Lobby or any other craft store.

After my supplies were ready, I laid out my words and stuck them to the canvas and began to paint. To avoid accidents, I let the canvas dry over night. Even though the letters were tricky to take off, the project still turned out great.

Gift for Your Best Friend

I love making jewelry for my friends. I can customize the necklace or bracelet however I think they would like it. If my friends do not like my gift, I can always change it.

What you need:

• Beads

• String

• Pendant

You can get these products at Michaels, Hobby Lobby or any other craft store.

Choose bead colors you feel your friend would appreciate. I just planned out the pattern for the style that I wanted, and then I put the beads on a string. To complete the project, simply tie a knot at the end of the bracelet or necklace.
