Sept. 15, 2012

At 10:12 p.m., a person contacted the NIU Police Department and advised them of an armed robbery reported to have occurred outside the Convocation Center. This case is open pending further investigation.

At 11:12 p.m., an officer was sent to Douglas Hall in regard to a report of cannabis. After arriving at the scene, the officer met with several people at the room in question. Two people were referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful possession of cannabis.

At 11:37 p.m., an officer at the east side of the New Residence Hall Complex met two people in possession of alcohol. The officer confirmed that both people were under 21. Both people were referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor.

Sept. 16, 2012

At 1:41 a.m., an officer saw a person unable to stand on their own. The officer approached the person and discovered they were under the influence of alcohol and under 21. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

At 5:14 a.m., an officer responded to a callbox activation in Lot L. After arriving at the scene, the officer met with a person leaving the area of the callbox. The officer initiated an investigation and determined the person had pushed the callbox button when no emergency existed. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for disorderly conduct.

At 7 p.m., an officer was sent to Lot P in regard to criminal damage to property. After arriving at the scene, the officer met with the complainant and took a report. The case is pending investigation.

At 7:18 p.m., an officer was sent to Neptune East in regard to a theft. Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant and took a report. The case is pending investigation.

At 8:15 p.m., an officer was sent to the west side of the New Residence Hall Complex. Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant and took a report. The case is pending investigation.
