Saturday

At 11:57 p.m., an officer at Grant Towers North encountered a person under the influence of alcohol. The person, Francis D. Bourke, 19, of Burlington, Wis., was found to be under 21. Bourke was arrested and charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. Bourke was processed at the NIU Department of Police and Public Safety. Bourke was unable to post bond and was transported to DeKalb County Jail.

Tuesday

At 10:45 a.m., a person who filed a report for a stolen cellphone on April 23 said her phone was returned to her after she filed the report. This case is unfounded.

At 12:11 a.m., officers were sent to the Art Building regarding a report of graffiti. The officers met with the complainant and took a report. This case is administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

At 1:40 p.m., officers were sent to the Holmes Student Center regarding a cell phone theft. Officers met with the complainant and took a report. This case has been administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

At 8:48 p.m., officers encountered a person wishing to file a report about a stolen OneCard and subsequent fraudulent use in Lincoln Hall. This case is pending investigation.
