Campus blotter for 4/24/12

Wednesday

At 11:59 p.m., an officer on the fifth floor of Lincoln Hall C Wing smelled an odor of alcoholic beverages and heard the sound of bottles clanking coming from a room. The officer made contact with the occupants of the room and confirmed there was alcohol present and that it had been consumed by people under 21. The offenders received a verbal warning for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor and illegal possession of alcohol by a minor.

Thursday

At 9:28 p.m., an officer responded to the third floor of Stevenson North B Tower in regards to a physical altercation. Upon arrival, the officer met with Caprice I. Albrecht, 18, of Lincolnshire, and Latoya N. Anderson, 20, of Maywood, the women involved. After talking with Albrecht and Anderson, the officer arrested the women and charged them with battery. They were released after posting bond.

At 11:08 p.m., an officer responded to the first floor of Lincoln Hall B wing regarding an odor of cannabis. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the occupant of the suspected room. The occupant was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Saturday

At 4:28 a.m., an officer in the lobby of Grant Towers South smelled the odor of alcoholic beverage coming from a person. That person admitted to consuming alcohol while being under 21. The offender was given a verbal warning for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

At 8:31 p.m., an officer responded to the ninth floor of Grant Towers South in regards to a report of burglary. The officer met with a man who said items were stolen from his room. This case is pending investigation.

At 11:20 p.m., officers conducting a building check on Regent Drive encountered three people in possession of cannabis. All three were referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
