Wednesday

At 2:30 p.m., an officer responded to Parking Lot 12 regarding a burglary to a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, he met with the complainant who told him that between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., someone shattered his car window and stole his Garmin GPS and iPod Shuffle. This case is pending investigation.

Thursday

At 12:01 a.m., an officer responded to Grant South for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, he met with the complainant who said she was in a physical altercation with her boyfriend. After officers talked with both parties, the boyfriend was arrested for domestic battery. He was processed and taken to the DeKalb County Correctional Facility. This case is closed by arrest.

Friday

At 10:17 p.m., officers conducting a building check of Grant South B-Tower 10th floor smelled an odor consistent with the smell of cannabis. Contact with the resident of the suspected room produced cannabis and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and cannabis. He was processed at the NIU Police Department and transported to the DeKalb County Correctional Facility. This case is closed by arrest.
