Suspect identified in DeKalb robbery

DeKalb Police have identified a suspect allegedly involved in a robbery that took place on Sept. 16.

Traves J. Robinson, 21, of DeKalb, is also suspected to be involved in a domestic battery prior to the robbery, according to a DeKalb Police press release.

According to the release, the victim of the robbery was walking into an apartment in the 900 block of Ridge Drive when a man displayed a handgun. The suspect struck the victim with the gun and stole property from the victim, the release said. The victim was later treated for an injury to his head.

Police executed a search warrant of Robinson’s apartment and found a handgun and cannabis plants, according to the release.

Robinson is charged with two counts of armed violence, class X felonies, two counts of aggravated battery, class 3 felonies, two counts of aggravated unlawful use of weapons, class 4 felonies, aggravated domestic battery, a class 2 felony and production of cannabis, a class 3 felony.
