A Sycamore man was arrested on a warrant Tuesday night while climbing out of a window trying to avoid police, DeKalb Police said.

At 6:44 p.m., DeKalb Police were called to Parkside Drive Apartments, 1329 Sycamore Road, after receiving a tip that Gary L. Beegle, 37, was at his mother’s apartment in the building. Beegle was wanted on a warrant for residential burglary, according to DeKalb Police reports.

Police arrived at the apartment and, after being let in by a tenant, found Beegle in the back bedroom climbing out a window, according to reports. Police arrested Beegle outside and found a metal marijuana pipe in his back pocket.

Beegle was arrested on three Kane County warrants for residential burglary, telephone harassment and driving with a revoked license. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and taken to DeKalb County Jail. Beegle’s bond was set at $3,000, and his next court date is scheduled for Feb. 2.
