A woman was robbed while leaving a food and clothing pantry Wednesday, police said.

At 11:19 a.m., the woman was leaving the pantry in the 1000 block of South Fourth Street when a man in a red SUV asked her for change in the parking lot. The woman then took out some money. The suspect grabbed the money out of her hand and drove southbound on Fourth Street, said DeKalb Police Lt. Gary Spangler.

The woman was not injured in the robbery, Spangler said.

The vehicle is described as a red SUV, possibly an 80’s or 90’s Ford Explorer with a beige or tan stripe running horizontally on the bottom.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid 30’s and about 6-feet-tall and about 250 pounds. He was wearing a black knit cap, black Carhartt pants and a black Carhartt coat.
