No one was injured in an attempted robbery early Saturday morning where a DeKalb man pulled out a knife on two men allegedly attempting to rob him.

At 2:45 a.m. Saturday, DeKalb Police were flagged down by the man in the 400 block of North Annie Glidden Road, who said two men attempted to rob him, according to DeKalb Police reports.

The victim told police a vehicle with three men in it pulled beside him while he was walking southbound and two men got out of the car and demanded his property, said DeKalb Police Lt. Gary Spangler. The victim then pulled out a knife, at which point one of the men went back in the car, and the other grabbed a beer bottle from the car and threatened the victim with it, Spangler said.

The second suspect eventually got in the car, which drove away. The driver of the vehicle did not leave the car during the attempted robbery, Spangler said.

Police later found a vehicle similar to the description of the suspect’s vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex. Investigation into the vehicle yielded no results, Spangler said.

No detailed descriptions were available for any of the suspects, and there are no leads in the investigation, Spangler said.
