Three NIU students were arrested after they allegedly shot two people outside of a fraternity house Friday afternoon.

Around 11 a.m., DeKalb Police arrested Andrew J. Blunier, 19, Zachary R. Jaydos, 19 and Alberto Saldana, 20, all of 1300 Blackhawk Drive, when police were called to the area for a person injured by an air-gun at a bus stop.

The three men were allegedly shooting a BB gun from a second floor window of the Phi Sigma Kappa house, 1300 Blackhawk Drive, when they hit two people outside at a bus stop, said DeKalb Police Sergeant Jon Costiliow. One person was bleeding after being shot in the neck and another person who was on the bus was shot in the right shoulder, Costiliow said. The bus was not damaged in the shooting.

The gun, which belonged to Jaydos, was later confiscated by police. Blunier and Jaydos are listed as room 16 in the house, and Saldana is listed in room 14, according to DeKalb Police reports.

None of the men admitted to aiming at people, and police are still investigating the case to find a motive, Costiliow said.

All three were arrested and charged with reckless conduct, a Class A misdemeanor, punishable by up a $1,000 fine and one year in jail.
