The Pay-It-Forward House in Sycamore is celebrating its third anniversary.

On Sunday, March 30, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., the Pay-It-Forward House, 719 Somonauk St., is inviting guests to attend its Third-Year Birthday Celebration. Guests are invited to tour the house, meet volunteers and learn about the organization’s mission.

The celebration will include high tea, homemade scones, tea sandwiches and birthday cake.

The Pay-It-Forward House is a charitable nonprofit organization that provides daytime and overnight hospitality and accommodations to family and friends of patients receiving treatment at Kindred Hospital.

Sycamore’s Kindred Hospital, 225 Edward St., is a 69-bed care facility that provides long-term intensive, medically complex services to patients, including ventilators and dialysis.

The Pay-It-Forward House opened in March 2005 and is located adjacent to the Kindred Hospital. Rooms are provided on a first come, first serve basis.
