Aurora man arrested by DeKalb officers, faces multiple charges

DeKALB | DeKalb officers were dispatched at 8:43 a.m. Sunday in reference to an intoxicated pedestrian who was falling down in the 400 block of North Fourth Street. Officers made contact with the pedestrian, who ran. Police caught the man, Brian J. Holtz, 33, of Aurora, and arrested him.

He is charged with possession of controlled substances with intent to deliver.

Holtz faces two charges of class 4 felonies for possession of 10 grams of heroin and for resisting a police officer, and a class 1 felony for possession of 60 grams of crack cocaine. Police have included three class A felony charges for possession of a hypodermic needle, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police transferred Holtz to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
