NIU is stepping back in time to offer its visitors a glance at its entrance, which stood strong 100 years ago. An iron gate is being constructed at the intersection of Castle Drive and Lincoln Highway in preparation for NIU’s Centennial Celebration in 1995.

Although it will not open and close, the new gate will mirror the old gate in style and form.
