A plan to expand NIU’s Office of Campus Recreation is in the works. The plan would add two all-purpose gymnasiums and nearly triple weight room space.

An increase in student fees of 45 cents a credit hour, or about $5.40 more a semester, would be included in the plan.

The plan has to be approved by the Board of Regents, and the OCR is seeking student support for the plan through a petition. Do you think the OCR expansion is necessary?
