DeKalb police are investigating a burglary that took place at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday at Fatty’s Sports Bar and Grill, 1312 W. Lincoln Hwy.

According to police reports, an unknown man broke into the sports bar.

According to DeKalb Police Lt. Jim Kayes, the burglar had been in the process of breaking into the bar’s safe when an employee walked in on him.

Police currently are searching for the man, but were unable to release information about him.

Fatty’s co-owner, Jeff Dobie was advised by DeKalb police not to comment on the case.
