3 additional students test positive for COVID-19

DeKALB — NIU announced on Tuesday that three students and no employees have tested positive for COVID-19 and three students and two employees have recovered, according to the COVID-19 dashboard.

The dashboards cumulative statistics show that 141 students have tested positive for COVID-19 and 121 have recovered since the semester began on Aug. 23 Surveillance Testing

NIU administered 1,644 COVID tests since the week of Sept. 20 for surveillance testing. The positivity rate was 0.43% with seven positive test results, according to surveillance data Surveillance testing data is updated on the dashboard every Monday or on a Tuesday if the holiday falls on a Monday.
