I just had my first chance to examine the new MLK statue closely, especially with the bricks finally laid in around it.

While looking at this “chia statue,” the immediate thought that popped into my mind was: WHEN is the artist coming back to give it a decent paint job?

There are many black paint streaks on white, and vice-versa, and believe it or not, what appears to be purple streaks!

Additionally, the statue appears to be eroding already, with obvious flaking and chipping in places.

This alleged artist seems to have a major deficiency in his character: Lack of pride in his work.

And the bricks! Would it have been too much to match the pattern with the rest of the MLK Commons?
